The French Embassy in Nigeria is organizing the second French-Nigerian Cinema Co-production meeting. It will take place in Lagos on the 30th of June and 1st of July 2020 at Alliance Française – Mike Adenuga Centre.
This event aims at connecting Nigerian professionals with French producers who are interested in developing French-Nigerian co-productions (feature films and TV series, in the fiction and animation genres).
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The applicant must fill the submission form below and send it back to: yoann.talhouarne[at]diplomatie.gouv.fr indicating ‘French-Nigerian Co-Production Meeting’ in the e-mail subject line.
The document should be submitted as one file (Word format) in English language. The picture should be sent in PDF format (minimum size 2mb / maximum size 4mb).
Incomplete application documents will not be reviewed.
For features, the applicant must have produced, at least, two feature-length films released in cinema theatres in Nigeria and / or selected in renowned Film Festival (exception for animated movies).
For TV series, the applicant must have produced a TV series that was acquired by a major broadcaster.
Applications – Selection
The deadline for submission is 1st March 2020.
The official selection will be announced by the latest on the 1st of April 2020.
The French Embassy will select a maximum of 10 projects.
Project representatives (producer, director and/or writer) will have to attend the two-day pitching training that will be organized prior to the French-Nigerian Cinema Days (30th of June and 1st July 2020).
