The library of the Institut français du Nigeria is a multi-media library focussing on France and contemporary francophone culture.

The library offers to the general public almost 1,000 documents for adults, teenagers and children: books, comics, DVDs (French and francophone cinema and documentaries), French press, magazines, manuals to learn French and more…

We provide tables and seats to study as well as a multimedia space.

How to become a member


If you already are a student of Institut français du Nigeria, you only need a passport photo to access all the following services. If you are not a student, you will need to pay 5,000 NGN for a yearly membership.


-Free library registration during the time of your session

-Free consultation of books and magazines in the library

-Free consultation of French resources on our tablets

-Free WIFI on our systems

-You can borrow for a period of 4 weeks: 2 books + 1 magazine + 1 DVD

Wednesday & Thursday / 9.30am – 5.45pm
