A PIECE OF PERFORMANCE ART BASED ON REAL ISSUES AFFECTING THE LIVES OF WOMEN ACROSS NIGERIA
As a part of a tour on the French cultural network in Nigeria Institut français du Nigéria and iOpenEye Ltd in partnership with Latiliyan Projects Ltd will host a new version of Hear Word! Naija Women Talk True. A show where performance will create momentum for discussions and debate around the performance and the Nigerian women’s issues.
This new version is a reduced version of 45 minutes of the previous HEAR WORD! The show will be followed by 45 minutes of debate with the director Ifeoma Fafunwa and the cast of 4 women artists.
HEAR WORD! is a powerful piece where artistry and true-life stories of inequality are combined. The stories are based on issues upsetting the lives of women and look at the factors that limit their prospective for leadership, independence, and they consequential contribution to the society. HEAR WORD! invites women to break the silence, challenge them, and create solutions.
