This year, the Institut français du Nigéria and the French Embassy invited 2 Nigerian artists to take part in Itinéraire culture program, in France. This 10-day program took place in June and was all about the question of art in the public space. Organized by the French Ministry of Culture, the seminar (round tables, visits and workshops) allowed participants to grasp how art can exist outside the traditional venues devoted to it.

Two major disciplines were represented by Nigeria with Jemima Angulu, dancer, choreographer and founder of Krump Dance Studios, Abuja, and Papa Omotayo, Lagos-based architect, creative director of MOE+Art Architecture and founder of A Whitespace Creative Agency.

We asked them a few questions, when they got back… Discover Papa Omotayo interview here, and Jemima Anugulu’s there!
