Olukitibi Oluwabukunmi is a Nigerian dancer and an emerging choreographer committed to achieving the highest standard of performance. For her, dance is a tool, an escape, a room and a gift, whose influence transcends cultural, physical and emotional borders.

She is one of the 23 African dancers who have been selected to participate in the Diploma in Traditional and Contemporary Dances of Africa (2018-2020) at Ecole des Sables, in Senegal. The diploma program is structured in three-month-long modules, one each year, for three consecutive years.

With the support of the Institut français du Nigéria and the French Embassy, Bukunmi is currently taking part in her second round of training at the prestigious school founded by Germaine Acogny, in 1998.

She plans to organise training workshops in Nigeria on her return from Senegal, as well as research deeper into new knowledge acquired in the creation of her work.
