The Institut français du Nigéria supports, as part of its invitation program, the trip in Paris of two Nigerian artists.

The first one is the multi-media artist Modupeola Fadugba. She is currently in residence at the Cité internationale des arts as part of the program of the Institut français. She will present her exhibition “Prayers, Players & Swimmers” in the Gallery of the Cité internationale des arts (Curator: Katherine Finerty) from 28th of March to 3rd of April 2017. She will also exhibit her installation “The People’s Algorithm 3.0” at the Gare of Saint-Sauveur in Lille as the second part of the exhibition “Afriques Capitales” from 6 April to 4 September 2017.

The second one is the sculptor Abdulrazaq Awofeso. He is also invited by the curator Simon Njami to participate in the first part of the exhibition “Afriques Capitales” which will take place at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris from 22th of March to 16th of April 2017.

Both were exhibited at the Dak’Art Biennale in 2016.
