DEVELOPING A READING CULTURE IN NIGERIAN SOCIETY

Overview of the reading culture in the Nigerian society, the role of public libraries, the initiatives of the civil society (NGOs and artistic communities) to enhance reading habits and support the creation of literary works.

With Abuja Literary Society, the NGO Ace Charity, the librarian Chijioke Okwuoma and the writer Chinyere Obi-Obasi.

This event will start with a welcoming breakfast, the presentation of the new “Nigerian Corner” of our library and will continue with a discussion on the above-mentioned theme.
